14.0 Steps for Google Adsense

This page shows how to put a Google Adsense ad on your website. This puts ads anywhere on your page that you choose and depending on how much online viewership traffic your page gets - you may see some income from that traffic.

Some things to keep in mind-
1. Dont sabotage your own page by visiting it frequently. (you may get disqualified by doing that)
2. Search engines take awhile to find and parse your page. It may be awhile before you get substantial online traffic
3. If your ad is on a commercial page with your own products and services or buttons for payments - you may lose some of your viewers as they click on the ad and are drawn AWAY from your own webpage.

Ok back to how to create a Google Adsense ad on your webpage ...

Here are 14+ screen capture snapshots which I created in Microsoft Paint. I added captions and arrows for ease in understanding. I use Yola.com to host my website and I pay a annual fee for a DOT COM web domain name (that is a fancy way of saying "a dot com name"

These instructions should be used AFTER you already have a working website. Your own website provider may be different but I still hope you learn something from my instructions and see how it is done.

Note that it took about 1 week for ads to start apearing
on my webpage. During that week it was a blank area with nothing in it. After one week I started seeing a horizontal banner with ads- a new ad daily. The ads were just a white box with text and no graphics or very basic graphics.

Adding Keywords in METADATA helps search engines find your page
In addition to the above steps - I used "Metadata" to add keywords to each of my webpages. This is so the search engines find your specific page. This webpage is mostly images and picture - the search engine would not SEE any words. So I added content in metadata that is pertinent. It helps the search engines in placing this page into the enormous database we call search engines.

In Yola's online page creation Click on
1. Page
2. Metadata
3. Enter keywords related to your page

If you have a different webhost - this may differ in how you do things. But the term " metadata " is a very important term and is generally used lingo which is a common phrase.

Adding metadata keywords is what I suggest for the reader in creating a webpage that is findable. If you dont use keywords in your metadata - search engines may not find people who are searching for your particular topic or page subject.

Well it took me 3 years to earn $10.80 and only recently (in the last month or two) I earned $2. For a long time it was at $4 and then maybe six months ago it was at $8. I saw some growth, so I went ALL OUT recently and added the Adsense ads to the bottom of most but not all of my webpages on my website. I realize it takes time for this growth. I always add content to my webpages and add additional pages as I come up with new ideas and avenues. So far as of 4/18 I have on average 740 - 780 views per month on my website as reported to me by Yola by emailed monthly report. Yola.com is my website host. I pay for a domain name through Yola etc.

I made this counter using the following site

I selected no Java code in my choices, and hit counter, and 9 digits

Also here is another handy tip

Adding a Copyright notice at the bottom of your webpage using HTML which automatically sets the correct year
and requires no yearly modification. It sets the correct year all by itself. No intervention required. Works on PHP website or any website that uses HTML

<div style="background-color:green; color:#FFFFFF"><script>
var mydate=new Date();
var year=mydate.getYear();
if (year < 1000) year+=1900;
document.write('<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13pt;">&copy; Copyright '+year+' NAME OF COPRIGHT HOLDER GOES HERE &nbsp;&nbsp;All Rights Reserved</span>')

I have created this script and the bottom of this page shows how I use it on my own website.
