BigAuctionSiteSeller wrote Yeah the instructions are some what difficult to get thru, but I wouldn't say I have a PHD in this thing. Fast flashing I think means it is trying to charge the battery directly to get it up to speed and it does some equalizing too. I mean I had a new battery and I left it on for 2 days before starting to use the battery while it was going. Maybe it just might have to be on there for a few days in good sun light... so it can get a good baseline going. I mean I dunno maybe you have done that... but quick blinking green is good it's trying to get the battery up for ya... an older batter it may take some time tho. I think my panel is 180w or 165w... not sure why I don't remember you would think I would that was a sizable purchase. Anyhow... at best i only ever got 6 amps for like only an hour in a totally sunny day. For me that juiced up the battery pretty quick even under a 1.5amp inverter draw, but at 120w you might only get 4 or 5 amps max in ideal conditions for a very short period of time. So if the charger only has 2amps to work with on average (my average was 4amps) so a 2amp average input is going to take a long time for the battery to get up to say 13.5 or 14.1v even if it can. I say this cuz if you look at mains battery chargers for car batteries the best ones start at 8amps and lesser ones are only intended for float charging. I'll look over the site tho see what you got going... I am going to give you one bit of advice wish someone had gave me. Your totally fine with this controller. I went for a 200bux mppt sunsaver, and in my setup I can not discern that it performs any better or any worse. Maybe cuz I am dealing with very small numbers... who knows... So rest easy on that point if your wondering about that. --------------------------------------------------- BigAuctionSiteSeller wrote Ok I just read your "Update 7/12/15 6:20PM" entry. That light will blink until it reaches whatever the stop charging voltage. That should be I think 14.1 volts... at 12.2volts it's still got a long way to go. I am not sure you have the correct manual actually... is it 4x5.5 inches with a black and white picture on the front of it? Titles "Manual of LMS series intelligent solar controller"? --------------------------------------------------- Dr Virago Pete wrote I purchased a brand new LMS2430 from an ebay seller and used it along with a 120Watt panel to charge a car battery and a motorcycle battery. Here is my webpage http://www.drviragopete.com/solar-panel-power.php As a newby to solar and especially new to this controller - I have some questions that you have a whole summer of experience using this controller and must know it thoroughly. My car battery seemed to stay just above 12v even after several extra hours of charging. My green light is blinking fast. Can you give some of your thoughts - is my solar charge controller working properly? Is it normal for the green light to blink fast?
